I don’t have any employees so do I need workers compensation?

There is no legal requirement to have Workers Compensation insurance unless you have employees or contractors, or someone to whom you pay a wage.  If you are a Pty Ltd company, you can choose to insure yourself for Workers Compensation, however there is no legal requirement to do so.
